Volunteers/Mentors Recruitment for FSST Online Research Mentorship Program

Opportunity Detail

The Online Research Co-op Program has been collaboratively developed by The Foundation for Student Science and Technology and the Federal Science and Technology Cluster ( The goal of this online mentorship program to help students transition from secondary school into postsecondary education and introduce them to knowledge-based professions. Our program is seeking research students to join our team of online mentors. Mentors work with a dedicated Grade 11 or 12 high school student in an online environment. The typical time commitment for mentors is 10-12 hours across a term. Students can support their mentor's research or work on an independent project while mentors answer questions and provide regular feedback. Researchers in our program use this experience to develop professional skills in online learning and mentorship. But for many of our mentors, the program has a profound personal impact, inspiring them in their own work and pursuits. Interested mentors can apply online here: or contact for more information.
